Chevron Hallway with Seamless Corner Transitions

This project featured approximately 600–800 square feet of custom white oak chevron flooring through a series of hallways with multiple turns and intersections.

To solve the layout, I developed a custom approach that allowed the chevron pattern to continue through each hallway turn without the use of transition boards. Every change in direction was carefully planned and individually laid out to keep the pattern aligned from one section to the next.

The project also included a custom herringbone room and a compass inlay, creating a cohesive hardwood design that carried traditional patterns throughout the home.

The completed installation highlights the timeless beauty of white oak and the versatility of custom hardwood flooring. It was finished with ProCoat Hardwax Oil to preserve the wood’s natural appearance while providing a durable, repairable finish.
